Education Safety
Children from the Head Start program were bussed to the Safety Village on April 16 for safety education and fun. They received fire safety education from Springfield Fire Department Captain Rick Weber and stranger danger education from Deputy Martin Parker of the Sangamon County Sheriff's Office. The children were 3, 4, and 5 years old and were very attentative and inquisitive. They also enjoyed the playground.
The Children's Safety Village and Captain Bob's Schoolhouse are available for education at any time. Call Captain Mark Dyment at 788-8492 for arrangements.
